Radium West

Charlie and Sarah are both Iowa natives, while Robert came from Kansas, and Dave is the home-grown musician from Colorado. Radium West plays a mix of Gypsy Jazz, New Orleans Tunes, and Musettes. Charlie comes to Denver from Chicago, where he lived for 43 years, and Iowa before that. In Chicago, Charlie played jazz mandolin in Radium Swing Band and New Orleans and R&B mandolin in Radium Isotope Band before bringing the hot Radium franchise to Denver.

Robert Kerley

Robert Kerley is a lifelong musician who began his musical training in elementary school orchestra on viola. He eventually found his way to jazz piano and popular music, performing in a wide variety of styles and ensembles. Over the past few years he has found a passion for playing swing, musettes, and other styles on accordion.

Among his highlights are the Albuquerque ska band Giant Steps, The Jazzhaus Big Band (Lawrence, KS), and the lounge/exotica group Bongotini. He played in various jazz, blues, reggae, and rock groups in the Kansas City area before moving to Denver in 2018.

Dave Shugert

Dave Shugert is an educator and a performer in the Denver Metro area. Dave has a Master’s of Music Education degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He taught elementary music in Douglas County for 29 years and continues to teach private lessons as well as orchestra, band and rock band classes.

Dave’s performing experience in the Denver areas spans more than 30 years. His performing experiences include Moments Notice Entertainment, Modaz, Hot Toddy, The Bucktones, The Radios and many local churches as well as shows with numerous artists including Cody Slaughter and Endre Samu. He has been a member of the Arapahoe Philharmonic bass section since 1986.
